Questions about accessibility
Is Aged Oak accessible to people with vision impairment?
Yes. Aged Oak works with screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), has keyboard navigation, and all images have descriptive alt text. Text is large and high-contrast by default.
Can I use Aged Oak if I have hearing loss?
Yes. All audio content has captions or transcripts. Text alerts notify you of important events. You don't need audio to use the app.
Does Aged Oak work with my hearing aid or cochlear implant?
Yes. Aged Oak doesn't interfere with hearing devices. You can adjust your device's compatibility settings as needed. Contact support if you experience issues.
Can I increase the text size even more?
Yes. The app respects your device's text size settings. You can increase text size in your phone or browser settings, and Aged Oak adapts automatically.
What if I have tremors or difficulty with fine motor control?
Aged Oak has large touch targets (buttons are at least 44x44 pixels). Voice control lets you interact without touching. Take your time — there are no time limits.
Is Aged Oak tested for accessibility?
Yes. We test with real assistive technologies (screen readers, voice commands, keyboard navigation) and follow WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We're working toward AAA compliance.
